Mulch

Black Mulch
A kiln-dried hardwood mulch with no bark material. This material is finely ground with a fibrous texture, which allows it to hold well in high-wind areas and steep grades when packed down during installation. There are no hazardous chemicals. This color-enhanced product is died using all-natural pigments, and is human and pet-friendly. The color typically holds for 1-2 years from the time of installation, depending on the timing and conditions of installation. Ideal installation conditions are on a warm, dry day. The longer the material has to set and dry, the better the sun will cure the color.
Brown Mulch
A kiln-dried hardwood mulch with no bark material. DOuble Mulch
A premium hardwood bark mulch, this material is finely ground and aged up to one year. It is natural, organic, and chemical-free. This product is most commonly used as a top-dressing over existing mulch beds.
Organic Enhanced 
A premium hardwood mulch, this material contains a high bark content that is finely ground and aged up to one year. An organic dye is added to give this product a deeper, darker color, similar to our other dyed mulches, while also being darker and more finely ground than our other organic hardwood mulches. This product is most commonly used as a top-dressing over existing mulch beds. This is an all-natural and organic product.
Playground Cover
A kiln-dried hardwood material with no bark, but instead just includes the inside, or blonde, parts of the tree. This product is not aged at all, and is all-natural and chemical-free. This material is ideal for playground areas, embankments, and use in wooded areas.

Coarse Mulch
An all-hardwood bark mulch that is aged up to one year. This material is an all-natural and chemical-free product. This product is generally used as a basecoat for new landscape installations. The pieces of this mulch are bigger, allowing it to stay on the surface of mulch beds longer, resulting in increased longevity between installations.

Limestone

Concrete Sand
 Sharp angular particle sizes gives concrete pavers added interlock and strength through sheer transfer.
Play Sand
Used for construction, masonry, and play areas such as sandboxes.
Limestone Dust
Approximately 0.375” crushed stone. Typically used for pipe bedding, walkways, and under pavers. Drains slowly.
2B Limestone
Approximately 0.75”-1.5” stone that will not compact, and is typically used for backfilling, subbase, drainage, or driveway stone.
2A Modified
Mixture of crushed stone and stones up to 2”. Typically used as a base layer for slabs, driveways and walking paths.
1B Limestone
Approximately 0.375”-0.5” stone that can be used for decorative purposes and walkways.

Approximately 0.75”-1.5” stone in a natural red color that can be used for landscaping including walkways.
Red Rock 1B
Approximately 0.375”-0.5” stone in a natural red color that can be used for landscaping including walkways.
PA River GRavel 2B
Approximately 0.75”-1.5” smooth, rounded stone with variations in color, including greys, reds, and beiges. Used for decorative applications.
PA River Gravel 1-3"
Approximately 1”-3” smooth, rounded stone with variations in color, including greys, reds, and beiges. Used for decorative applications.
PEA Gravel 
Approximately 0.50” smooth, rounded stone with variations in color, including greys, reds, and beiges. Used for decorative applications.
Ocean Gravel Blend
Approximately 0.375”-0.75” stone with a blonde color that includes tones of white, yellow, and beige. Used for decorative applications.
Roof GRavels
Approximately 0.75” recycled stone from commercial roofs. These products vary in color depending on supply and availability, but generally include white and grey stones. Used for decorative applications.
River Jack 3/4"
Approximately 0.375”-0.75” stone that includes a variety of colors including tones of tan, red, grey, and blue. Used for decorative applications.
River Jack 1-3"
​Approximately 1”-3” stone that includes a variety of colors including tones of tan, red, grey, and blue. Used for decorative applications.

Soil

​We offer a variety of bulk soils for sale in Central PA such as:
Mushroom Soil
This is a steam-sterilized, all-natural product straight from the mushroom houses of Avondale, PA. It is an excellent natural fertilizer for gardens and flowerbeds, and can even be used in place of straw to protect and fertilize grass seedlings. It can also be used as a top-dressing in place of mulch over your landscape beds, and it holds a rich brown color. *Mushroom soil is sold by the cubic yard. Please use the mulch calculator when determining how much you need.*
Screened topsoil
This topsoil is screened on-site through a 0.375” screen to ensure it is free of rocks, clumps and debris. The final product is a fine loaming soil that is easy to rake, grade and plant in. This product is best suited for lawns and flowerbeds that require no more than 2” of depth to be added.
Field soil
This is unscreened topsoil that contains rocks, clumps and debris. This product is best suited for filling in or regrading uneven areas that require more than 2” of topsoil.
